This summer, the KGH Foundation is excited to host the 1st Annual JoeAnna’s House Family Picnic, a joyful new community event in support of JoeAnna’s House.
Taking place at beautiful Strathcona Beach Park, this relaxed, family-friendly afternoon will bring people of all ages together to enjoy good food, fun activities, live entertainment, and time outdoors — all in the spirit of generosity, connection, and gathering for good.
Guests are invited to bring their own picnic supplies, settle in at the beach, and enjoy a fun and welcoming atmosphere with children’s activities, lawn games, a mini market, food trucks, and more. Event activities will be available by donation that will directly support JoeAnna’s House and the families who rely on it.
This inaugural event will also celebrate an important milestone for JoeAnna’s House, with optional tours of the newly expanded space available for those who wish to see firsthand the impact of our community’s generosity.
Gather your family, bring a picnic blanket, and join us for an afternoon of fun, connection, and giving back — all in support of keeping families close when they need it most.
All donations up to $50,000 WILL BE MATCHED!
This means whatever you purchase or donate at the picnic will DOUBLE your impact!

What to expect
- BYOP
Bring your own picnic and enjoy a fun day in the park! Guests are welcome to pack their own food, beverages, and picnic blanket, or purchase lunch and treats on site from our food trucks, BBQ, and lemonade stand. A (very) limited number of tables and chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served, rotating basis, so bringing your own blanket/chairs is highly recommended! - LOCAL FOOD TRUCKS

*The JoeAnna’s House Family Picnic is free to attend and picnic. To participate in the additional activities an All Access Picnic Pass will need to be purchased at either welcome tent, on site, day of the event.
